From first call to first campaign
Most businesses are live within a week, and most of that week is Meta’s verification rather than anything on our side. Here is exactly what happens, and what we need from you.
Setup runs in seven steps over about a week: a discovery call, API registration and business verification, template writing and approval, integration with your systems, contact import and team training, go-live, and a review after the first month. Account registration, verification, template approval and training are included in your plan. Integration work is optional — do it yourself with the API access your plan includes, or have us do it as an openly priced service.
Connect
We set up and verify your WhatsApp Business API account. Keep your number, or start a new one.
Import
Bring your contacts across from Excel, your CRM or the sheets you already keep.
Build
We configure your templates and chat flows with you, and issue the API keys for your integrations.
Launch
Campaigns go out. Automations start firing on their own, off your own data.
Scale
Read the numbers, cut what is not working, and add the next use case.
What each step actually involves
Step 1 — Discovery call (day 0)
We ask what you send today, who sends it, and where the data sits. Twenty minutes. You will get a straight answer on whether WhatEdge fits — including if it does not, which happens and is a better outcome than the alternative.
Step 2 — API setup and verification (day 1–3)
We create or connect your Facebook Business Manager, register your number, submit business verification and set your display name. You provide the documents; we handle the process and the follow-ups with Meta. There is no charge for this — it is included in your plan.
Step 3 — Templates and flows (day 2–5)
We write your message templates and submit them for approval, build your chat flows, and configure routing to the right people. Approvals usually take a few hours, occasionally a couple of days. Getting the category right first time is most of the skill here, and it is the part that trips up businesses doing this alone.
Step 4 — Integration (day 3–6)
Your API keys are issued and tested, so you or your developer can connect Google Sheets and anything else you run on. If you would rather we did the work — the sheet mapped, the Tally or Busy connector installed and maintained — those are optional services with prices published on the pricing page. This is where most of the effort goes, and where most of the value comes from: a platform nobody logs into is only useful if it is sending on its own.
Step 5 — Contacts and team onboarding (day 5–7)
Contacts imported and segmented, permissions set, and your team trained on the inbox — usually a single session, because there is not much to learn.
Step 6 — Go live
The first campaign goes out and the first automations start firing. We stay close through the first week, because that is when the small things surface: a template that reads oddly, a column mapped to the wrong field, a segment that is broader than you meant.
Step 7 — Review and expand (week 4)
We look at the numbers together, fix what underperformed, and add the next use case. Almost nobody starts with everything — the usual pattern is invoices first, then reminders, then campaigns.
Being honest about the timeline
A week is typical, not guaranteed. Two things can stretch it, and neither of them is in our hands.
Meta’s business verification
Usually a day or two. Occasionally longer if documents do not match the registered business name exactly, which is the most common cause of delay we see.
Template approval
Usually a few hours. Rejections happen when a message is submitted under the wrong category, which is exactly why we write and submit them rather than leaving it to you.
Your own data
The step most often underestimated. If your contact list needs cleaning or your sheet needs restructuring, that is usually the longest part — and we will tell you upfront if it is.
Questions about getting started
Most businesses are live within a week. Most of that time is Meta’s verification and template approval rather than anything on our side. Simple setups have gone live in two or three days.
Usually, yes. The number has to be migrated to the API, and once it is, it will no longer work in the WhatsApp app on a phone — that is a Meta rule, not ours. We handle the migration. If you would rather keep your existing handset number as it is, we can register a new number instead.
There is no setup fee on the platform itself. WhatsApp Business API registration, business verification, template approval and staff training are included in your plan. Integration services — connecting Tally or Busy, or having us build a Google Sheets integration for you — are optional and priced separately, and every figure is published on the pricing page.
Our team sets it up with you — API verification, templates, flows and integrations — and trains your staff. After go-live you have support by phone, WhatsApp and email during working hours, with priority handling on higher plans. We stay close through the first week in particular.
Start with the discovery call
Twenty minutes. We will tell you what is possible with the systems you already run, what it would cost, and how long it would take.
