Google Sheets · Reminders & follow-ups

Send WhatsApp Messages Straight From a Google Sheet

The sheet your team already updates every morning becomes the engine that sends your payment reminders and follow-ups — automatically, on your schedule.

Short answer

WhatEdge reads a Google Sheet you already maintain and sends WhatsApp messages based on what it finds. Payment reminders, follow-up schedules, delivery updates and task assignments go out on a date, on a status change, or on a daily run — without anyone opening the platform.

The problem

Most Indian businesses run on a spreadsheet. It just cannot talk to the customer

Outstanding payments, follow-up dates, order status, delivery schedules, task lists — all of it lives in a sheet somebody updates every morning. What the sheet cannot do is tell the customer. That still needs a person, a phone and a free half hour, and it is always the first thing to get dropped on a busy day.

What you can do with it

Common uses

These are the setups customers actually ask for. If yours is not here, it is probably still possible — ask.

01
Payment reminders

Due today, due in three days, overdue by a week. A different message at each stage, sent to the right contact from the right column, with nobody chasing.

02
Follow-up scheduling

A follow-up date column that actually results in a follow-up, every time, whoever is in the office.

03
Order & delivery updates

Change the status cell and the customer is told. Dispatched, out for delivery, delivered.

04
Process & task management

Assign a row to a team member and the task lands on their WhatsApp with the details filled in.

05
Renewal & expiry notices

AMC, subscription, policy or licence dates tracked in the sheet, with notice going out well before the date.

06
Internal alerts

Get a message yourself when a row crosses a threshold — an overdue amount, a stalled job, a missed date.

Setup

How it gets connected

Two routes: build it yourself with the API access your plan already includes, or have our team do it as an optional service. The prices are published.

  1. Share your sheet. You share the Google Sheet with WhatEdge. No new software for your team to learn, and no change to how the sheet is maintained.
  2. Map the columns. We map phone number, name, amount, due date and status to the fields WhatEdge needs. Done once, at setup.
  3. Choose the trigger. A date in a column, a change in a status cell, or a scheduled daily run at a time you pick.
  4. Pick the template. Each stage gets its own approved WhatsApp template, worded by us with you and submitted for approval.
  5. Switch it on. Update the sheet the way you always have. The messages take care of themselves from here.

FAQ

Questions about this integration

A sheet you already maintain drives the messages. The columns — phone number, name, amount, due date, status — are mapped to the message, and a trigger is set: a date, a change in a status cell, or a scheduled daily run. From then on your team updates the sheet exactly as before, and the messages send themselves. API access to do this yourself is included from the Basic plan up; if you would rather we built it for you, that is an optional per-sheet service.

Payment reminders run through the Google Sheets integration, not through Tally or Busy. Invoices come out of your accounting software; reminders come off a sheet. Most customers run both together, and it is the combination that does the real work.

Not for Google Sheets, Tally or Busy — our team sets those up for you. You will want a developer, or our team on a scoped engagement, for custom API work against your own CRM or ERP.
