1. Who we are

WhatEdge is a product of Arsaviva Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”), registered in India with its office in Guwahati, Assam. [REVIEW] Insert your full registered address, CIN and the name of the person responsible for privacy queries.

2. Two different sets of data

This policy covers two things that are easy to confuse:

• Our customers’ data — information about the businesses that subscribe to WhatEdge, and the people who use the platform on their behalf. We are the controller of this data.
• Your customers’ data — the contacts, phone numbers and conversations a subscribing business uploads or generates while using WhatEdge. We process this on that business’s instructions. They are the controller; we are the processor.

3. What we collect

When you enquire through this website

• Name, business name, phone number, email address and city
• The industry and use case you select, and anything you write in the message field
• Your IP address and the page you submitted from, kept as a spam-prevention measure

We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to follow up about WhatEdge. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.

When you are a customer

• Account and billing details, and the documents required for WhatsApp Business API verification
• Contacts, message templates, campaign data and conversation history inside your account
• Usage and diagnostic logs needed to run and support the platform

Website analytics

4. Who we share it with

• Meta Platforms, as the operator of the WhatsApp Business API, in order to deliver your messages. Message delivery is not possible without this.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers, who store data on our behalf under contract.
• Payment processors, for subscription billing. [REVIEW] Name yours.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not use your customer data to build products or profiles for anybody else.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then archived. Customer account data is kept for the life of the account, and afterwards for the period required by tax and company law. [REVIEW] Confirm the retention period your accountant requires.

6. Deletion and your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to bd@arsaviva.com.

If you are a customer closing your account, your organisation’s data is permanently deleted from production systems and backups within 30 days of a written request.

7. Message recipients

If you received a WhatsApp message from a business using WhatEdge and want to stop receiving them, reply STOP to that conversation and you will be excluded from that business’s future campaigns. If you want your details removed entirely, contact the business that messaged you — they hold the record. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will pass the request on.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to production systems is restricted and logged, and permissions inside your account are role-based. See our security page for detail. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected customers promptly if a breach occurs.

9. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to customers directly.
